Jacob´s Ladder

Description

In this show experiment, an electric arc ignites at the bottom between two diverging electrodes and then moves upwards due to buoyancy and magnetic forces until it goes out and can be ignited again. Apart from the classic version, we also manufacture Jacob's ladders where the visitors can take action themselves: Using a crank, they can counteract the physical forces and slow down or reverse the rise of the arc - depending on their own physical effort.
